Introduction to Playwriting
For five years I worked in Creative Arts Therapy at the retirement community Kendal at Oberlin. During the pandemic, I designed and led an original course introducing residents to playwriting. The semester-long course culminated in a live-streamed Zoom performance of their one-act plays, featuring a cast of all residents!
ESOL
I am a 150-Hour TESOL-certified instructor with experience teaching Second Language-Learners at the collegiate level. Writing assignments I’ve overseen include: thesis statements, research projects, narrative essays, and persuasive essays.
Literary Journalism
At Oberlin College, I served as a Teaching Assistant for RHET 207: Literary Journalism, where I collaborated with 15 students in developing their long-form narrative nonfiction pieces each week through individual workshop sessions.
